Regulatory law

The firm assists economic operators in all their relations with the public authorities, whether to obtain the administrative authorisation they need for their business, to challenge an administrative sanction or a new measure likely to affect them, or to propose regulatory changes to the relevant authorities.

The firm also has in-depth knowledge of the rules applicable to the regulated sectors (in particular energy, transport, health, audiovisual and digital) and a proven track record with the regulatory authorities, particularly in the context of dispute resolution and penalty procedures.

Lastly, it has particular expertise in the various forms of public intervention in economic activity (national and local public company regimes, public shareholdings, subsidies and various forms of economic aid), as well as the rules and principles governing these interventions, at both national and European level (state aid in particular).

Significant experiences

  • Advising a leading French operator in the photovoltaic industry on setting up an innovative scheme to create and support a new renewable energy industry in the regions (state aid).
  • Advising and representing a group of companies operating renewable multi-energy stations in appeals before the Conseil d’Etat against several interministerial decrees.
  • Advising and representing an electricity distribution network operator in dispute resolution and penalty proceedings before the regulatory authority (CRE/CoRDiS).
  • Advising and representing a company in the audiovisual sector in the context of a challenge to calls for tenders for the granting of broadcasting licences and to sanctions imposed by the regulatory authority (Arcom).
  • Advising and representing a group of taxi drivers dismissed from a call for tenders for the distribution of licenses for vehicles adapted to transport disabled people in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
