Paul Peyret

Partner

Paul Peyret has practiced as a lawyer for more than 14 years and was previously a legal counsel in the legal affairs department of the French Ministry of Defence. He mainly advises companies and public authorities in all areas of public law, both as counsel and in litigation.

Paul has in-depth expertise in the award and performance of public contracts (procurement contracts, concessions, public service delegations, contracts for the occupation of public land) relating to the construction of public infrastructure and facilities.

He has also developed specific expertise in connection with the construction or acquisition of industrial and energy production facilities, particularly of renewable origin (wind, solar, biomass, hydrogen), with regard to the environmental and planning authorisations required for the implementation of these projects and the related litigation.

Paul also has extensive experience regarding the various forms of public intervention in economic activity (national and local public companies, shareholdings, public aid and subsidies), as well as of regulation (economic regulation, ‘soft law’, authorisations and administrative sanctions), particularly in the health, energy, transport, audiovisual and digital sectors.

Finally, he assists and represents his clients before the administrative and judicial courts in interim and substantive proceedings, in the context of disputes and sanction cases before regulatory authorities, and in the context of alternative dispute resolution.

Its working languages are French and English.
